She has always been very kind and supportive of the Save Red Rock effort. She showed her support at the Red Rock Hearing, then turned up missing the next day. 625,000 people objected. 99% opposed. The USDA is moving forward anyway to repeal the Roadless Rule – opening 45 million acres of national forest to roads, logging, and drilling. 🌲

Meet the ranger behind the telescope: Chad Hoing! 🔭🌌
Chad is an interpretive park ranger at Red Rock Canyon NCA – and a frequent presenter at our star parties! His love of the night sky sparked on a camping trip in Wyoming, when he looked up and saw the Milky Way stretching overhead for the first time. Before Red Rock, he shared his passion at places like the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site and Jean Lafitte National Historical Park.
Now he helps our community form their own connections with the cosmos – and he`s leading the talk at our next Star Party, Chasing Comets, Finding Galaxies!
