On this day, November 16, 1990, The Red Rock National Conservation Area was born. We think back on all our great memories with gratitude to those who had the vision to protect her with this highest of designations in the BLM. Today we can give back with three easy birthday gifts for Red Rock. Let’s Advocate, Participate, and Donate to show some love to our beautiful National Conservation Area who’s turning 31 years old today!
🎁 BDAY GIFT #1: ADVOCATE
Ask Congress to support the Red Rock expansion in the SNEDCA Bill for this cute scotty dog-looking (50k acre) birthday present of much needed protection for Red Rock!
🎁 BDAY GIFT #2: PARTICIPATE
This Thursday, Nov. 18, 6-8pm, BLM invites public participation to discuss management options for the section of Red Rock from Calico Basin to Summerlin, including possible entrance stations, operating hours like the loop, and mountain bike trail closures.
🎁 BDAY GIFT #3: DONATE
Give the gift that keeps on giving. Your support is much appreciated to help keep Red Rock’s natural and recreational resources healthy, accessible, protected and thriving.
