Save Red Rock Update Email

Red Rock Canyon isn’t just an empty lot somewhere that nobody cares about.  It is our savior from the city, our respite from the rat race, beloved both locally and nationally.

Check out the articles in the paper these last two days and the comments they’ve solicited from many people even beyond the reaches of our Save Red Rock campaign.  Red Rock belongs to everyone, and not even Jim Rhodes should be given the right to mess with her!  

It’s true, he does have us in a tough legal position.  Even worse, all the land use lawyers I’ve been talking to either can’t help us because they already represent the county or they don’t want to mess with Jim Rhodes, because he is a developer and they don’t want to be associated with any case against any developer.  Even good guy Kaempfer and Associates was bought up at the last minute by Rhodes so we wouldn’t have a chance.  One thing I can say about Jim Rhodes, is he is smart!  He is working the system, the timing, the commissioners, everything!  I bet he doesn’t even want the land.  He probably just wants to increase the density so he can flip it and sell it to another developer who can build even more houses and make even more money off of our national treasure.

My next email will have the dates and times of three public meetings on three sides of town so you can pick the time or place most convenient to you.  But for now, here’s some good reading from the last two days in the paper:
