COMMISSIONERS WILL DECIDE

“I think the short story is this.  Mr. Rhoads has sued to overturn Clark County’s Red Rock Overlay and the State senate bill that precludes development in Red Rock canyon.  He won a judgment at the state level, which is being appealed.  He has lost 3 of his 4 claims against the county, but has announced that he will drop the 4th claim IF THE COUNTY LET”S HIM BEGIN AGAIN WITH HIS SPECIAL PROJECT.  The commissioners have agreed to advance an ordinance that would serve his desire. This despite the fact that his property was never zoned for the proposed density and the property has no infrastructure for a major project. The question is,  having won 3 of the 4 county issues and having the state case under appeal, why would the commissioners even consider facilitating Mr. Rhode’s development?” Evan Blythin
