Save Red Rock was proud to gather with county, state and federal and officials on April 28 to celebrate the official opening of Phase 1 of the long-awaited Red Rock Legacy Trail. This multi-use trail was designed to increase safety and access for visitors of RRCNCA, and marks a huge investment in the improved infrastructure around the county’s most-visited NCA.
Thanks to all the local media who reported on this milestone. Check out what they’re saying! And, tell us if you’ve used the trail and what you think so far!
Urgent: Public Lands Rule Repealed
This week, the administration repealed the overwhelmingly popular Conservation and Landscape Health Rule (Public Lands Rule), a critical safeguard that ensured conservation was on equal footing with extractive uses like drilling and mining on public lands. This move:
- Strips protections from our public lands, including Red Rock Canyon NCA
- Allows greater leeway to ignore the health of our country’s lands and waters
- Risks pushing these public lands toward privatization
- Fast-Tracks liquidation of public lands
Please consider sending an emergency donation today to help us ramp up advocacy and research efforts.
