LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Federal officials are asking for the public’s feedback on possible changes to fees for Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
The Bureau of Land Management says it’s considering an adjustment to its amenity fees, which were last increased in 2018.
Several amenities, activities and services have been added to Red Rock Canyon since then, according to BLM, and visitation has jumped significantly as well.
Proposed fee increases would be for camping and the timed reservation system. The annual pass fee would also go up from $30 to $45.

People can provide their input via email at [email protected], by filling out comment cards at the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center, or by sending a letter to Red Rock Business Plan, Bureau of Land Management, 4701 N. Torrey Pines Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89130.
Public meetings are scheduled for July 6 at the Rainbow Library at 5 p.m. and July 7 via Zoom at 6 p.m.
Comments will be accepted until July 22 and will then be reviewed for the final Red Rock Canyon Business Plan. That plan would go before the Mojave-Southern Great Basin Resource Advisory Council for approval.
