It’s finally happening!
After more than 20 years of planning, Phase 1 of the Red Rock Legacy Trail is beginning construction in early July!
Save Red Rock is proud to be speaking at the private groundbreaking ceremony next week, and would like to thank all the partners involved for getting us to this point.
BLM, Clark County, Federal Highways, NDOT, IMBA, SNBC, Nevada State Parks, Get Outdoors Nevada, and many more agencies and individuals have coordinated efforts across two decades to help us realize a vision of a safer, off-road, multi-use shared path. Pretty soon, our dream will come true!

Did you know?
- Save Red Rock came up with the idea for the off-road trail after the tragic death of our friend, neighbor and Metro Officer Don Albietz in 2005.
- We orchestrated a planning and partnership agreement between all necessary agencies to get the trail conceptualized, designed, funded and built.
- We raised the first $12M in federal grants to get the project started.
STAR PARTY SUCCESS!
More than 500 people came out to our Save The Night Star Party last weekend. Attendees enjoyed an evening full of stargazing and education, including an overview of the dangers of light pollution, and how to mitigate it. Stay tuned for more opportunities to appreciate the night sky with us.

Public Lands Update
As many of you know, Congress is actively working on a bill that aims to privatize our Public Lands. Due to your strong advocacy, the Senate first temporarily removed a provision from the current reconciliation bill that threatens our wild spaces, but the latest update still threatens up to 1.2 million acres of BLM lands.
We’d like to thank all of you for calling and emailing your representatives to express your love and support for these sacred places. Please continue to get involved. Follow us on social for real-time links to petitions, call guides, mailing campaigns and more!
we need you!
The threats facing the safety, serenity, and sustainability of Red Rock Canyon NCA are real and more aggressive than ever. Please donate to our mission and support our work.
