THANK YOU letter to commissioners for Feb 8 meeting, waivers withdrawn!

Thank You Chairwoman Brager and Supportive Commissioners. Since day one of the waivers request, Commission Chairwoman, Susan Brager said that she would not waive her conditions of protection for Red Rock Canyon and hosted a public meeting at which she reiterated her resolve. We believe it was this open and public commitment that set the tone for this latest battle and is directly responsible for the win today, along with the historic support of Commissioners Chris Giunchiliani and Lawrence Weekly and indications of support by other commissioners. We are grateful that the scenic byway is no longer being proposed as a construction traffic route and that public BLM process is not being circumvented. We are very excited about this and will support our commissioners in any effort to help SAVE RED ROCK CANYON!
