This Thursday, October 3, Congresswoman Susie Lee will join David Wiens, famed mountain biker and executive director of the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), and members of Save Red Rock for a morning mountain bike ride through the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
The groups will also host a press conference prior to the bike ride to discuss the protection of public lands like Red Rock Canyon and Congresswoman Lee’s work to secure funding for conservation programs in Southern Nevada through the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

Drive west on Nevada State Rd. 160, past 159 Red Rock Canyon Scenic Byway (do not turn right at the 159/160 junction). Proceed 5 miles straight ahead on 160 until you reach Late Night Trailhead on the right.
WHY: As Congress finalizes its budget for the upcoming year, funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund, hailed as America’s best conservation program, hangs in the balance. Congresswoman Lee will provide an update on this critical program that has helped fund projects in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and throughout Southern Nevada.
Save Red Rock is a group of concerned citizens working to preserve the safety, serenity, and scenic nature of Red Rock Canyon.
