Remember the following quotes from the Red Rock Overlay hearing:
“When do we choose to fight?” an emotional Giunchigliani asked. “If you don’t fight now, when do you?”
Reid, who is the board’s chairman, echoed the fight theme.
“I’ve been here seven-and-a-half years, and I’m leaving soon. Rory Reid and Chris Giunchigliani stood up for Red Rock with their votes. Now it’s our turn.
Dina Titus has a strong record of standing up for Red Rock, having written multiple pieces of legislation protecting the canyon and the people who love to go there. Jeff “Sarge” Durbin has already shown his commitment to Red Rock Canyon and the District F constituents. One of the most critically vulnerable areas in the state, District F looks for leadership with strength and integrity to defend Red Rock Canyon against dangerous special interest developers who do not respect the citizen-driven rural protections. And finally, we are grateful that Don Chiarez is running against David Roger who was responsible for advising the county to exempt Jim Rhodes from the Red Rock Overlay requirements in the first place.
