Our mission is to preserve and enhance the natural, recreational, educational, scientific and scenic resources of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
Get the Lead Out of Lovell Canyon
Lovell Canyon is now a significant initiative for Save Red Rock after soil tests conducted in the canyon by Save Red Rock reveal lead concentrations more than 30 times above what is deemed safe. Known neurotoxin and carcinogen, lead concentrations found in target shooting areas along Lovell Canyon Road range from 1,600 ppm to 44,000 ppm; safe levels should not exceed 1.400 ppm. The Brett Torino Foundation has furnished a financial gift to Save Red Rock specifically for Lovell Canyon and to aid in the restoration of the area.
